Spending a weekend at Nimbus Mykonos

I had always been dreaming of visiting Mykonos, but for some reason it didn’t happen for many years. I had heard so many good reviews about the white-washed alleys with the blue balconies, the bougainvilleas and the cosmopolitan vibes that I decided to plan a weekend getaway there, together with my bestie Cynthia. We chose to stay at 4* Nimbus Mykonos, a luxurious stylish hotel with stunning views, and our choice totally rewarded us! Amazing and helpful staff, private transfer to/from airport or port (despite our late-night arrival), and even 24/7 online communication with the reception through What’s App! What more could we ask for a spending weekend at Nimbus Mykonos?

LOCATION

The hotel is located in Agios Stefanos, one of the most popular beaches of Mykonos where all the luxury hotels can be found. It has clear blue waters and it’s totally worth staying in this area when in Mykonos! It’s super easy to reach Chora and only takes around 7-8 minutes by car/taxi, while a regular bus is also available. Also, there are several restaurants, cafes and mini-markets to find anything you need locally.

THE DELUXE DOUBLE ROOM WITH PRIVATE HOT TUB

Even from the moment we saw the entrance of the hotel, we understood that it would follow a black and white theme. Our deluxe room was no exception and was designed according to this theme, something which we found super modern. The whole decoration was really stylish and the shower, the washbasin and the toilet were completely separate. It was also the first time I saw a totally black washbasin! The bed was large and really comfortable and the room provided all the amenities we needed, from bathrobe and slippers to fridge and large TV. Also, we experienced such a warm welcome, with a fruit plateau waiting for us on our bed!

The best part was the private hot tube in our balcony! It had a direct views of the pool and Agios Stefanos beach, the perfect way to relax and enjoy! You can book your own room or suite here.

THE BREAKFAST AREA

Breakfast is served outdoors every day, in an open room with sea view. The concept here is again minimal and modern using black and white colors and plants such as cacti. The default menu comes in a large disk containing pastries, croissants, bread, marmalades, yogurt, a variety of cheeses and cold cuts, juices and coffee! They all were delicious and so filling! You can order however any additional option from the catalogue, such as omelettes, pancakes and more!

THE POOL & BAR

We had the change to swim in the hotel’s stylish pool, which offers direct views of Agios Stefanos beach. It’s all painted black, which makes the water seem so dark! Most probably it’s really different from any other pools you’ve seen. Beautifully decorated with modern touches and sunbeds not only around the pool but also inside – how cool is that?! 🙈

Also there’s a pool bar right next to the pool, where you can enjoy your coffee, cocktail or even brunch! On our last day there we had a delicious brunch just before our way to the port. We order a Croque Madame and chocolate pancakes and it only took us 5 minutes to eat them 😋

Spending a weekend at Nimbus Mykonos was an amazing experience and we definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Mykonos! Can’t wait to be back again!
