Our second summer together with Haris, there was no doubt that we would visit Zante for our vacation. We had organized a day trip to this island the past summer to visit the famous Shipwreck beach and loved it! So we decided to visit Zakynthos for our vacation next year. We couldn’t have stayed anywhere else than the 4* Louis Plagos Beach hotel, which belongs to Louis Hotels family and is exemplary for all luxury hotels. We experienced a really luxury stay in Zakynthos, which I will describe here.
LOCATION
The hotel is located in Tsilivi town, a very central and lively area of the island. It is actually one of the best locations for families, couples and friends. It has to offer so many options regarding dining, dessert, car rentals and much more! Tsilivi is also the best location to explore the whole island, as it has the minimum distances possible from everything. Louis Plagos is at a 2 minutes distance from all the nightlife, but also in a quieter spot where you can stay away from the crowds. It also offers entertainment activities inside the hotel, so you do not need to go out if you don’t feel like it. For example, we really enjoyed a latin dancing night organized during our stay. Also, it is only 15 minutes drive from the downtown of Zakynthos.
THE SUPERIOR DOUBLE SEA VIEW ROOM
Our room was spacious, luxurious and had incredible views of the two infinity pools. When entering the room you see the huge double bed which is so soft and comfy, the big satellite TV, the boudoir, the table with the chairs and plenty of space for your luggage. There was also a welcome fruit plate, a red wine bottle and coffee/tea necessities waiting for us, which we found such a nice gesture! The balcony was spacious and had the best view ever, overlooking the two infinity pools of the hotel. Of course you can expect to find a fridge, hair dryer, air-condition, and strong WiFi. We really relaxed in our room each day we came back from so many activities! You can book your own room here.
THE INFINITY POOLS
The hotel has not one, but two beautiful infinity pools located next to each other, which ensured our luxury stay in Zakynthos! Our room had views on them. They are open from early morning at 9am until 7pm. At the evening the sunset is so amazing from there! You can also buy your drink and enjoy it while relaxing poolside. We didn’t have too much time to swim in the pools a lot, but we went there for some quick dips.
THE LOBBY
The day we arrived in Sentido Louis Plagos Beach we were so excited to stay there that we immediately took a walk in the hotel complex to discover all its spaces, and ended up sitting in the lobby for about an hour! We enjoyed so much its soft couches, and it is also so spacious that you can have your own space even when the hotel is full. It was also decorated with some impressive pieces of art, so it was hard to leave this beautiful room!
CULINARY EXPERIENCE
The day we arrived in Louis Plagos Beach, we decided to take our lunch at the hotel’s Dionysos restaurant so as to fill with energy and get out to explore the island. The restaurant is self-service buffet and offers a great variety of dishes, which change each day. We chose a little bit of everything and the food exceeded our expectations! Everything was so yummy and we also gorged ourselves on the delicious desserts after our meal!
The next mornings that we were waking up in Louis Plagos Beach, we tried everything that the big yummy buffet breakfast included. It was full of fresh pastries, cakes, bread, cereal, fruits, eggs, omelettes and so much more! One of the best breakfast that we’ve ever had! So tasty!
