It’s a common fact that 2020 did not start in the best way possible 😛. Due to the pandemic restrictions, I had to postpone all my travel plans from the very beginning of the year. After the gradual ease of restriction measures, I was thinking about taking some short trips inside my country and so I decided to explore some greek islands. So together with my bestie Cynthia we organized our first trip for the summer of 2020 to Ios island. We chose to have a luxury stay at the 4* Levantes Boutique Hotel, the best resort on Ios, and and we were proved so right about this choice!
LOCATION
The hotel is located in Mylopotas, just above Mylopotas Beach which is one of the most famous on the island. It is actually just 2 minutes by car from the beach and all the restaurants and bars on the [beach] road. It’s also 2 minutes by car from Chora, the main [village] of Ios where the biggest part of restaurants, shops, bars and nightlife can be found. The hotel’s location makes it super easy to reach from Ios port in just 7 minutes and in general to get around!
THE EXECUTIVE MAISONETTE WITH PRIVATE POOL
I really don’t have enough words to describe the luxury of the suite where we stayed for our days on the island. With all honesty, it’s the BEST [room] I’ve stayed in my entire life! Our suite was made of stone and white walls, and everything inside was sooo perfect! The decoration was absolutely modern and minimal, and each room was absolutely Pinterest goals!
Our suite was a maisonette consisting of two floors. The upper floor was actually a second bedroom with a double bed, whereas the rest of the rooms were located on the ground floor. The bathroom was super modern and clean, looked like a cave suite and was equipped with bath and beauty products. Plus, it had two showers facing each other! It was the first time I saw something like this and I found it really cool 😉 Then we had our living room, again so modern and beautiful! Minimal design and decorations, all in the colors of white and stone grey.
Finally, our main bedroom was large and comfortable. It had an amazing bed and two stone spaces to keep your things and luggage – totally Pinterest again!
Thi highlight of our maisonette however, was the private pool with the turqoise water! We had never stayed in a suite with a private pool before, so we got really excited 😛 Right outside of our bedroom we could swim anytime, with a view of Mylopotas beach just underneath. The pool and the view were magical, and the suite really resembled a hotel in an exotic destination, being able to walk from your room straight to a pool only for you! Totally adored it! THE MAIN POOL OVER MYLOPOTAS BEACH
Even if you don’t stay in a suite with a private pool, you can always enjoy the main pool of the hotel. It is a huge round pool which also offers views over Mylopotas beach. Once again, the design is really modern with two cushion beach beds on a wooden [platform] in the water! You will love sunbathing there or on any other beach bed around the pool. There is also a bar above the pool, where you can order your drinks 😉
